Sculpting with Wool: Wet Felting with Textile Artist Katarzyna Niedzielak

Textile artist Katarzyna Niedzielak (Kasia) has worked with wool and plant fibres over many years, turning them into 3D shapes, sculpture, wearable art and textiles using the ancient technique of wet felting.  Kasia loves working with wool, a medium that is natural, soft, adaptable, versatile and eco-friendly, adding plant fibres to create decorative elements, texture and durability.

Kasia invites you to learn how to make (and take home) a decorative felt pod (bawl) and how to felt over the resist, bringing wool into 3d form without cutting.

Kasia has studied with renowned textile artists Anita Larkin, Pam de Groot, Fiona Duthie and Yekaterina Mokeyeva, Judit Pocs, Gladys Paulus, experimenting with most felting techniques including needle felting. She has exhibited at community events, galleries, festivals.  https://www.artbyamoeba.com/   @art_by_amoeba
